Introduction

My last game project at Futuregames. We were making a prototype for a studio, our team got assigned to make a saboteur party game. When we got to the drawing board, we were considering to make many party games, but given the time constrains we decided to focus on one mini-game and we decided to take inspiration of Mr. Bucket.

The goal of the game is one player plays as the bucket while the other three are picking up balls to throw at him to score points over a time limit. The player who plays as the bucket needs to shoot back the balls towards the player or run over them to score points. If they are defeating all the player, they win.

Code

My role was I wrote code together with my co-programmer with the core mechanics. I was also in charge of the repository. The mechanics I was in charge of and implementing was throwing and shooting mechanics for the players and glow shader for the items.

Conclusion

Given the short amount of time we made a playable product with proper a game loop. Me and my team were able to co-operate more than well, there were no crunch involved and we finished bugfixing way before the deadline.
